Week Four

****Update: So I weighed in and the results wer not great. I stayed the same in body fat percentage, but gained a pound. Ugh. So hard to not be discouraged. However, Amazing Aubrey is modifying my food again so we will see what happens. Not quitting. And I do feel better, regardless of what the scale shows.

Hang in there, baby!

Internal arguments and eating is tough, still

Ya'll,  there is nothing worse than waking up and immediately arguing with yourself.

Negativity be gone

Ok, campers...one slightly out of breath, panting, gasping, proud member of Crossfit Galveston reporting. As I mentioned previously, I owed 20 pushups for succumbing to negative thoughts. Well, enter the  box jump today. So now I owe 30. Yep. Immediately I looked at that box and said to myself, "Nope. I can't do that." This was immediately followed with the sinking realization that now I owe 10 more. Ugh. Don't feel like you need to watch my sweaty, gasping self struggle through 30 pushups immediately following a challenging workout. But I did not want you to think I was skipping out. And so now I start over.

Right now, I have to take my sweaty, stinky self to run an errand. Hope that deodorant works!! Ha! Have a great week everyone!

And remember...no negativity. We got this!

End of week two

Success without the caveat

Sometimes we just need to change on the inside before we can change -and maintain- the outside!

Crossfit Galveston and the challenge

I was browsing through Facebook a couple of weeks ago and found a post from Crossfit Galveston. They were offering a 6 week challenge. A meal plan, workouts, and a coach. My end of the deal? Show up, follow the plan, and lose 20 pounds or 5% of my body fat in 6 weeks.

I took them up on it. This blog will be another form of accountability for myself and a way to share my journey with others. Transformation is not for the faint of heart. But I know with the support of the folks at Crossfit Galveston, my family, and my friends, I can do this.

Stay tuned!
